Community support is crucial to our success. Our district boasts more than 350 partnerships with local businesses and organizations. More than 22,000 volunteers contribute more than 722,000 hours of service to our schools and students each year. We have outstanding relationships with the University of Florida and Santa Fe College which provide unique educational opportunities for students in our community.
Principals appoint school-level volunteer coordinators each year and the district office promotes and provides recognition for volunteers and partners. Some of our volunteer programs include Community Resource Volunteer Program (Speaker's Bureau), Teen Trendsetter Reading Mentors Program, Partners in Education, MentorGNV, College Volunteers, and Lunch Buddies Mentoring Program.
